About a week ago I stumbled across a deal I couldn't refuse on a gorgeous plane I've been eyeballing for a while. I've been kicking around the idea of going BIG electric and finally I was in the right place at the right time!
Slipstream was one of the manufacturers of the MX-2 but in the 25% size it's tough to find the Gary Ward color combo especially done right! The clinchers were that it was a 25% plane (72" wing span,) it was electric, servos installed, conversion done, and all I had to do was drop in a 6 cell battery!
The lines are clean and true to the original. Also since it's electric, there's no holes cut out of the cowl. I was skeptical on the power system since I know literally nothing about HUGE electric but I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of the Hacker A60 and Castle ICE 100 so far.
There's a little bit of a curve going from gassers to electric but so far I've got about a dozen flights logged. Although they're brief I'm loving every minute of the 7 minute flights I can sneak in between rainshowers! Thanks again MCSGuy for the super deal, and since it's electric you better believe LED's are already on their way...
