And then there was LIGHT!!!

With Fall in full effect, the sun is setting WAAAAY too early.  Have no fear LED's are here!  Yeah, yeah you say but now I've got the ability to toggle them on and off...  It seems so simple but for a few years now I've been looking for an inexpensive way to just switch off the damn lights!  Thanks to D-Man and a few of the MaryMoor 3D Misfits I've found the perfect $5 solution.

I never thought I'd pay money for a brushed speed controller ever again but for $5 the Turnigy 20A brushed ESC was worth every penny.  Unlike a brushless ESC, a brushed ESC only has two output leads and guess how many wires it takes to light up an LED strip?  For power in I just tapped off my deans from the main battery and plugged the servo lead into a spare channel on my receiver.

The HobbyPartz LED's were easy to cut and solder and the only limit is your imagination.  Battery was plugged in and with the flip of my gear channel switch I screamed "LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!"

When it's all said and done I couldn't be more please with the outcome.  The slowstick was just a test bed, stay tuned to see what I light up next...
